Location: Plano, TX
Position Description:
The Vice Presidents’ role is to plan, organize, develop, and provide oversight and alignment of security systems, disaster recovery plans and IT resiliency across all Invensys sites. This includes establish and implement best practice methodologies and tools relevant to IT Security. The Director will also provide timely updates on project initiatives in a dash board format and prepare executive level presentations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, document, maintain and oversee Organizational IT Policy & Procedures • Conduct regular reviews and provide exception/exposure reporting and remediation plans to leadership. Produce Dashboards which help determine the vulnerability exposure of each business and overall Invensys level. • Initiate, design, and rollout new systems and processes ensure sites and computer systems are up to date relative to all operating systems, patches and virus protection software. Including security/information assurance program, architecture, certification and accreditation, operational security, incident management, security system implementation such as: Single Sign-On, Identity Mgmt Solutions, etc. • Educate balance of IT organization of our security systems exposures and strategic initiatives aligned with other initiatives (e.g. Pandemic) • Coordinate and conduct infrastructure and plant control system site assessments to identify key security exposures and recommend improvements. • Maintain list of special administration access rights and exemptions to our applications and remote access capabilities. Standardize tools and process by which Invensys employees, customers, contractors and suppliers access our systems • Assess our critical applications to ensure they are protected from security exposures and ensure they are monitored, end to end, for up-time availability. • Responsible to asses and develop a business continuity plan ensuring our critical business systems continue to operate in the case of a disaster or extended network outage. This will require the involvement of our businesses, infrastructure and IT leaders to recognize and understand tolerances of outages. • Work with Application and Technology architects along with the M&A teams to assess the impact of M&A activity on existing architecture and security systems. • Make recommendations to business leaders/management to ensure alignment with current and future security standards and enhancements that will secure and safeguard our infrastructure and application portfolio. • Establish and lead Coordination of “Critical Situation” (CRITSIT) teams in response to any outages, penetrations/intrusions, virus outbreak, etc. Conduct Root Cause Analysis post these events. • Responsible to manage appropriate suppliers relative to any DRP/Security actions. This will include periodic testing per contract obligations and business requirements. • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT security projects and associated efforts. • Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team. • Direct and administrate a contingent of IT Security analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
Position Requirements:
• Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience. • Certifications in IT Security • At least 5 years leadership experience in IT Security infrastructure design and operational excellence. • Knowledge of current protocols and standards related IT Security services. • Ability to make sound and logical judgments. • Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills. • Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations to company operations. • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required. • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language. • Highly self-motivated and directed. • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Strong customer service orientation. • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
