Job Title Refinery Reactors Product Manager Functional Area Technical Business Development & Marketing
Position Summary This position is responsible for planning, developing and implementing product development, marketing and sales plans for Refinery Reactor Suite of software. Responsibilities include technical market, pricing and margin strategies for specific product (lines) to establish or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Working with all internal departments and external parties (customers, sales, support, analysts, industry influencers), define a long-term strategy that will support the company in its business objectives. Responsibilities include product planning, competitive analysis, pricing, sales tools and sales support. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for technical specification, commercialization and support of suite of software to model refinery reactors 2. Focus industries include Refining & Petrochemicals. 3. Collaborates with a variety of functional areas to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities. 4. Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. 5. Prepares and guides objectives for the development and marketing for all phases of the product/program, including new product introduction, to ensure maximum penetration of market segment. 6. Plans, develops, and implements sales tools in support of the product business and marketing plan 7. Evaluate/monitor existing/potential competitive products and develop strategies to win more market share.
Minimum Qualifications • Knowledge of Refining is a must • Knowledge of refinery processes or process modeling including FCC, Reformers etc • High drive commitment and energy within a fast paced, challenging environment • Able to speak and write at a strategic level • Able to present strategic messages in a simple, focused manner • Able to discuss at Executive and technical level
Experience • 5 + years experience in working with Refinery modeling or working in a refinery • Experience with Optimization, planning or LP models a plus • Process Engineering or Process Simulation experience • FCC experience is mandatory
• Minimum Bachelor Chemical Engineering Travel • Required. 50% plus both domestic and international.
